i killed cows for the beef which turn into steak when cooked and i was in survival mode and almost dying and it doesnt work . I tried eating raw chicken and that didnt work either .
Just wondering, where were you when you tried to eat? If you are looking at certain blocks, such as doors and fences, you can't eat since they have right-click actions which override the eating action (even though it doesn't make sense for a player to try to interact with some of them unless you e.g. have a lead). Otherwise, I can't find any other (non-duplicate) bug reports about being unable to eat, aside from an old issue with the Pocket Edition.
