So I was testing out a couple of Thaumcraft items and I spawned the red candle looking item in, and instantly Minecraft crashed and now I can't get back into it.
Many things happened at once, one many entinties were forced into the game. and the red candle didnt register as entity. well it expected too but it really couldn't This may be a pc problem but it also may be a bug. unless you didnt make a backup i dont think you could get back to it
i would like Terraria by the way. for one copy it is $9.99
So I downloaded that version of Thaumcraft and gave it a shot, but then it starts crashing even before it fully loads minecraft. I cant even get to the menu screen. I just downgraded back to the version I was on and am in the same problem as the start of the thread.
Just to clarify, I do play on my own multiplayer server that I am hosting on my own computer. To update a mod like that I have to replace the mod in the FTB mod list and then also on the mod list for the server, right?
EDIT: Also, when I tried using the newer version of Thaumcraft the server also wouldn't fully complete loading.
First I figured that if I spawned the candles in, and that is what is causing is, maybe if I delete the chunk that I was in will fix it. So I downloaded MCedit to edit out the chunk that the candles are in. That did not fix it.
I then thought that since I spawned them they might just be in my inventory yet. So then I simply went into the server's folders into the playerdata folder and deleted the files for my character. This would delete my current inventory, which isn't that big of a deal.
That worked. So in the end, all I had to do was delete my playerdata file in the server folder.
Now. What game should I buy myself?
EDIT: I'm putting this line into this thread so that if people post that same line into google this page should hopefully show up so they can get some help. (I hate when people fix a hard to fix problem but don't say what they did in that same thread. Cheers, mate.)
