So I just downloaded the Minecraft .msi installer on Windows. I usually play Minecraft on Ubuntu but I somehow made it so that I can't get a GUI in Ubuntu; only a command line login. but that's beside the point.

So thanks to 1.0, I now know that it has something to do with my video card driver, but I'm not sure what. I'm running a rather dated video card because I don't have the money to buy a new one (and even if I did, ew gross effort). It's an AMD Radeon HD 2400 XT. B276 I think is the exact model name. I got this error when I installed 1.8.3 last night so I downloaded drivers for the card, to no avail. And yes, I have restarted my computer since installing the drivers.
Anyway, I have Win10 Technical Preview and JDK 8u31.
Just like other users said, you needAMD drivers for Minecraft to work.
However, there's no drivers made by AMD on this preview OS because of its legacy card.
Well then, I guess that's it then. Good luck trying to get drivers for Windows 10 Tech Preview (chances are very, very slim).
Consider making the switch to Ubuntu if you can't.
Dude have you got win 7 because win 8 and 10 don't work. I got the same problem look:
