Hey guys! Ebkas here. (Like my intro?)

And I need some help allocating ram to MC. I used Mojangs tutorial and it didn't work. Btw I have 9 Gigabytes of ram.

Allocating RAM memory for Java doesn't help. It depend on how powerful your computer is.

Its the same for pc and mac, but the question should be, why do you need more ram? if its for better FPS don't bother as ram does not equal FPS.
Minecraft will just use the ram it needs, not whats allocated, you could in theory allocate 100GB of ram, but minecraft as standard would only use about 500MB of that
