I bought Minecraft 2 months ago and have been playing in the same world the whole time. Yesterday I started the game up, went into my world, and noticed that a huge landmass had spawned right in the middle of the lake overlooking my house. It was around 25 blocks tall and maybe 15 blocks wide, complete with trees.
I exited and came back in, but it was still there. I rebooted the computer and no change. I went back to a save from the day before, but evidently the problem had already occurred. I didn't want to go back any further because I didn't want to lose my xp, so I just terraformed the offensive island to the ground. Now the lake is clear again.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
