Mods I am using: Only optifine, Ultra(I think). Operating system: Windows 8, 64 bit. Java Version:Version 8, update 31, 64 bit. Graphics Driver: Nvidia GeForce GT 630M
In my attached images, you can see "My Optifine Settings" and "Optifine Settings I want".
As you can see, my settings are different than the setting I think I want. What I'm concerned about is that I don't have the "Advanced OpenGL" and "Chunk Loading" tabs, which I want since I have an Nvidia graphics driver.
Do any of y'all know why it doesn't appear? I mean, it could possibly be my Optifine version, but I'm pretty sure I have the Ultra version, which is supposed to have everything. Idk... I'm no Optifine guru. Hopefully one of you guys are.
1.8+ will never display Advanced OpenGL since a similar function is built into Minecraft itself now. Multi-core support too.
Hm, that makes sense. Well, thanks for the answers. I appreciate it. You would think that if Multi-core support was implemented into MC, I would get better FPS than I do with an i7, NVidia laptop. Oh well.
Are you sure both minecraft and java are set to use your high performance gpu and not integrated graphics on your nvidia settings panel? By default they won't be.
Actually, I'm not sure if both are set to use the GPU. I did set the javaw process to use the GPU(I hope), which I thought is all that was needed. When I press f3, it says that MC is using the NVidia GPU for the display on the right-hand side. So what other process do you think needs to be set? I think I have java set, but how do I set minecraft? Wouldn't it just speed up the launcher, not the game?

Welp, thanks for taking a look.
