I have had this issue with Minecraft crashing very often, something with Nvidia drivers and error 8. I have been unable to find any other soluttion than disabling SLI. I know it is a sucky solution, but for my part it seems to work. I have 2 GTX 680 in SLI, and it just seems that Minecraft isn't a big fan of SLI.
