Hi guys, I have a few minecraft mods installed and I am trying to play minecraft. I have optifine ultra included. Anyways, I keep crashing after a few minutes of playing due to not having enough allocated RAM. I was playing with 1300MB. I went to the guide thing minecraft puts up when it offers a "fix this problem" button. I went to the command prompt, found that I have a total physical memory of 8086MB, and have an available 4192MB. I uninstalled java and re-installed the latest. My graphics card drivers automatically update themselves. I have a 64 bit system of windows 7.
allocated 1400Mb is around the most I seem to be able to run without it telling me that I cannot allocate that much memory.
This occurs even with barely any applications running, my skype closed, browser closed, etc. Could someone please tell me how to get it to be able to allocate more RAM?
Edit: when i tried to load my world using 1400MB, it loaded, i moved like maybe one step, then it stopped responding. The crash report says, before it said that apparently I was killed by a skeleton, "Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 3226ms behind, skipping 64 tick(s)".
I do have 64 bit java 7 update 60. =/ Oh crap, relaized this is an old version. They must have kept an old link. -.-
Okay i downloaded what said was java 8 update 11 for 64 bit, but on my control panel under uninstall programs, it doesn't say whether it is 32 bit or 64 bit. How can I check?
Ugh...now runescape (another game ai play that requires java and it is a browser based game) is telling me i need to update java.
Can somebody tell me if this is for 64 bit or 32 bit? it doesn't specifically say. This is what I had before i started any of this. http://java.com/en/download/chrome.jsp
