OKAY! So my problem is what everyone else has, my screen looks like a rave with just one annoying strobe. i have a brand new asus ROG i wanna say 16 gb ram and 1 tb hdd. Don't tell me to roll back my graphics card, that is a stupid fix to a problem pertaining only to this block game. The reason I refuse to accept the idea that my brand new graphics card is broken, is because this is the only game that does it, so with the use of common sense I would figure that its a problem with minecraft that mojang or microsoft (which ever group of lazy's) are too damn lazy to fix, considering almost everyone with windows 1.8 has that problem. Also i am not doing any downloads that I don't trust (websites no one on earth besides one person have herd of, ad fly, etc). Before anyone asks,
-my minecraft is vanilla it has never worked on this 3 week old computer
-i have enough ram running allocated to minecraft
-iv tried with all different graphic settings from fastest to fancy with all the variations in between
All i want is to play with blocks and i cant do it and its pissing me off. sorry if the mood of this thread seems a little hostile, demanding, or just rude. For that I really am sorry I am just aggravated from reading all of these threads and you wouldn't believe the morons -.- BUT anyway if anyone can think of a way to help that isn't stupid (like rolling back my processor, re-installing windows, you know anything that compromises how my computer runs.) it would be much appreciated.
There really isn't much that can be done at this point until someone figures out what's going on. It seems to only happen on ASUS RoG lappys (not all Windows 8.1 systems, although downgrading to windows 7 does seem to work (in some cases).
Also, when you say:
Don't tell me to roll back my graphics card,
I'm going to assume you mean the fix suggested here, which isn't actually rolling back your graphics card. When you pull down that slider, you are simply lowering the fanciness of the video being outputted by your graphics card.
When you're done playing Minecraft, you can simply push that slider back up again and all is well. Give it a go - Push it down, hit Apply, then push it back up again (and hit apply again, obviously). See? Back to normal.

I know what you mean, that not my problem i tried that, it doesn't work. Mojang is saying to down grade graphics cards because theyre broken and that is what the flashing is, which I highly doubt every asus rog has a broken graphics card.
not broken graphics cards, broken graphics card drivers. There's a difference.
Drivers get updates all the time, sometimes while fixing one problem they break something else.
Eventually they'll release a new update that fixes that too, but in the meantime, sometimes the solution is to go back to the previous version of the driver that does not have the bug in it.
I have no idea about your problem but you have misconceptions about why a driver rollback is a perfectly valid problem solution.
