My son and I bought the X-Box version and love it. Loved it so much I bought the PC version, but having some issues with it. In the PC version my screen is really weird. For example there is a blue tint on the left and a red tint on the right to everything in the game and I mean everything. I've tried reseting everything, uninstalling and reinstalling the game and still no luck at fixing it. I really like this game but getting really frustrated with the PC version. Any help would be most appreciated.
That's a tougher one. Could be the video settings (such as render distance) are too high for your machine (listing your specs might help), or Java has too little (or too much, from what I've read) memory allocated to it. Could be something else that I'm not familiar with.

One more quick question... I'm playing the vanilla 1.8.1 version and it's super slow. Any clue as to why?

It seems like I take a few steps and lag for several seconds then move another two to three tiles and lag again.
