my graphics are wrong!

If something visual is broken, then you need to show visuals of said broken thing.

there are no "visuals". I re-downloaded minecraft due to having to refresh my computer , so most of my files were deleted. so, when I down loaded minecraft, it was the new 1.81. upon opening the game , i got an error page informing me my graphics were not up to date enough tto run the game so posted here for help doing so. turns out, I was able to get the upgrades done anyway!

Then you need to use proper terminology. Saying your "graphics are wrong" and " fix my pixels" implies the visuals you see on screen are messed up. It sounds like instead you should have said graphics drivers were outdated.

you are correct. that was bad on my part. it was very late last night .sorry ! I do now have a new problem stemming from the same issue. i followed all the prompts from minecraft on my graphics driver and upgraded to the proper ones and upgraded the flash. so when I downloaded mine craft , it gave me the latest version. I thought , good, everything will be current. not so. this new version has some glitches that i do not know if it is options not set correctly or another graphics issue, maybe you could help. when i clicked play, i noticed the start screen looks larger than usual, looks magnified! started a new world in hardcore and same thing, everything is annoyingly magnified. makes you dizzy moving around, like wearing somebody's strong eyeglasses! and the music occasionally comes on again,even with the sliders in the off position in options? not sure why everything is magnified? and., the torches do no light as much as they used to. that may be a new version thing do no know. and there is an odd haze in the darker areas. So. i am not sure if this is graphics card related or settings related , or new version related? the only reason I had to down load the new version is had to ger rid of a browser hijack, so lost all my apps. any ideas would be appreciated!

In the options there is a setting for GUI scale.

The rest sounds like normal behavior. Images would help.

the music playing when the slider of off does not sound normal. and the torches not lighting like the old version, and , when breaking wood in a tree when the wood gets up into the leaves it is extremely dark, usually you can see the log you are punching? I did not think i need pictures. not sure if i remember how my screen shots.something with the app data%. will have to remember! what GUI setting should i be looking for ? the magnification is the worst of all the issues!

In the game options... there is a setting for GUI scale. Click it and it will change the scale of your GUI.

The rest... REALLY need pictures. If you have a visual problem, then you need to provide visuals of said problem, otherwise its like telling a blind man to look where you are pointing.

the GUI setting was on auto. that fixed the issue. I have actually learned something today! the rest of the issues are probably just the new version have the torches different and stuff. same with the hunger. thanks again!!

I have it on my desk top in note pad, just cannot get it into here. I hate win 8! how would I get it from my desk top into this post? not great at this stuff, sorry!
