Im am currently trying to get minecraft back on my pc. It is an older pc running windows XP. I have had the program on my computer and played it for a few months then it suddenly stopped letting me into the launcher. I took that as a sign and stopped playing.
Now I have met some friends that want to play online together, but I still cant run the game.
I have tried all the versions offered on minecraft.net but still no luck. I have searched "mine" and deleted everything related to it but still no shebang.
Ist error I ran into I didn't even get past the initial download of the launcher. This is the .msi version. I got the launcher up and running in the second attempt by downloading the game .exe instead. I logged in with my username just fine. The downloading commenced and look a very long time (did this multiple times) and when it got done it sent me to a different screen with a lot of information that I cant really understand "ERROR: logger could not connect" I cant remember all of it but will try again when I get home.
Has anyone else had this problem? with my initial download of the demo I had to update drivers and such. Could my drivers have gone bad or have gotten deleted somehow?
I don't know what else to do, If I get a new computer will I still be able to download my purchased game? (I still have the card that I bought at walmart)
