My friend is having trouble getting his Minecraft to work, it always crashes before the Mojang logo pops up.
This started after he updated Java for the last time.
We tried changing the RAM usage, reinstalling Minecraft and Java and tried the new Minecraft installer that Dinnerbone made a while ago.
But none of them worked.
After it crashes, he always gets this error:
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x000000001b68a905, pid=73928, tid=36276

# Problematic frame:

# Failed to write core dump. Minidumps are not enabled by default on client versions of Windows
His specs are as follows:
Intel Celeron 1007U
4GB of RAM
Intel(R) HD Graphics
(using a laptop)
Maybe someone has an idea or dealt with this problem before?
If you have any idea, just let us know. Thanks
