I've HAD IT with this game. I'm trying to help my kid. I keep telling her this furniture mod will not work with our version. Even though it's made for 1.7.10.
So I removed the furniture mod jar and it's still crashing.
This game is nothing but problems. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know exactly whats going wrong but I suggest making a new world (if that's where the problem happens).
Also where are you getting your mods from? I noticed you have my mod Monoblocks in there and the jar was named differently then what it should be (Monoblocks-1.9.11.jar unless you renamed it).
You have a mob spawning mod that's crashing you but the log doesn't mention which one. Try taking out Mo'creatures or Lycanite mobs or primitivemobs and if not those, then any other mod that adds entities to the game. When the game stops crashing you know that's the culprit.
Yeah that's what I've been trying to do, that is take out the last few. I took out the furniture mod and the morph mod or shapeshifter, can't remember which one and now it's running better. I did not rename anything.
I keep telling my kid that we should install 1.8 as it's newer, but she's saying there's no animal bikes for 1.8.
My other question is this. I'm on a mac. Can I have two Minecraft folders or installs, one for 1.8 and one for 1.7.10?
I know you can switch versions and whatnot in the app, but I figured if I had 1 1.7.10 and 1 1.8 version in different folders and shortcuts for each that would be easier for her.
Am I correct in saying that the newer version, 1.8 would be more stable?
Thanks for the help. I spend a lot of time with this game and I don't even play it.
The other issue is this. If I install forge 1.8 and use 1.8 of MC wont the mods in the mod folder conflict as they're for 1.8 and not 1.7.10?
I wish someone would step up and make a working game with all the damn mods, charge $200 and be done with it.
Umm... All I can really say is is:
A: I don't think forge is out for 1.8 yet and
B: your report says: Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge'
Umm... All I can really say is is:
A: I don't think forge is out for 1.8 yet and
B: your report says: Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge'
It is out (made it out of beta something like a week ago) for 1.8 but almost none of the mods are out due to the massive changes in 1.8. It is going to take a very long time for mods to update to 1.8 due to the changes.
Umm... All I can really say is is:
A: I don't think forge is out for 1.8 yet and
B: your report says: Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge'
So do you guys have endless problems with this game as I do? Seems the more mods you have the worse it runs, correct?
Ok I'm on a mac too but that doesn't really affect anything.
You can run 1.7.10 and 1.8. and as many worlds as you want as launcher allows you to switch between them seamlessly. All you have to do is make a separate world for each profile.
So when you hit new profile (bottom left of launcher), the top row is name, you give it whatever name you'll recognize but right underneath is a path. Instead of leaving it at default
//.minecraft/ add an additional folder like //.minecraft/Forge1710 or //.minecraft/Forge180 or something like that. You install as many forge versions as you need and then while editing profile you choose the game version as "release 1.x.x - Forge xx.xx.x.xxxx" where x's are whatever version you want for that particular profile.
While you're on this editing profile window, do yourself a favour and change java path. First, install java 8 cause sitting on java 6 is terrible security wise and some mods are starting to be incompatible with java 6. So...install java 8, and then go system preferences->Java->wait for control panel to pop->Java->View and then for 1.8 version copy the section that says path. Then in the Edit Profile window on the MC launcher, on the bottom where it says JVM executable, click the checkbox, delete the path that's there and paste in your new path. Do this for every profile. Hit save profile.
If you go then to your minecraft folder, you'll see a bunch of folders for your individual worlds and within each will be a separate mod folder (once you run them at least once without mods and just with forge). When you want to switch between them, on the launcher, on bottom left, just pick a different profile from the dropdown menu and hit play.
As for stability, personally cause I'm on the now ancient macbook, 1.8 had improved performance considerably in terms of fps. However, the stability hasn't really changed. 1.7.10 and 1.8 are equally stable. 1.7.10 is where all the mods currently are now except for the few early ones on the 1.8.
My recommendation when you're starting a world for your kid is, do not get 50 mods and dump them in. Start with 2-3. Make a test world. Quit back to launcher. Add 2-3 more mods. Test again. That way when things start freaking out you know exactly what to look at.
The only time you bypass that process is if you download a premade modpack cause then someone's already done all the footwork in bug testing and you don't need to struggle so much.
One last thing. An absolute must in the mods you get will be aromabackup. Get it here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1287828-aroma1997s-mods-betterchests-mining-world-mod
It will backup your world periodically and silently in the background (this is once you get it up and running), and so if anything ever happens and world gets corrupted, you'll have backups to go to and you can troubleshoot a lot easier without the kid crying how his/her 2 months of work are gone.
Can you post the crash report?
And if you haven't done the troubleshooting to find the mob spawning mod that was crashing you before, java update isn't going to solve it. I recommended it to avoid future issues that you're sure to run into.
As for your mods, I can't really tell what's wrong without the crash report. At a glance, it all looks ok though I don't recognize most of the mods. You're running cofh core but I don't see any teamcofh main mods so I'm not sure what you need the core mod for.
For the flansmod content packs, I thought there was a special procedure to installing them, as I remember there needs to be created a Flan folder (not manually but if you installed correctly it's there) and in it go the content packs. Read the instructions for "I have already installed forge" here: http://www.flansmod.com/download
So I removed the furniture mod jar and it's still crashing.
This game is nothing but problems. Any help is appreciated.

Curse PremiumAlso where are you getting your mods from? I noticed you have my mod Monoblocks in there and the jar was named differently then what it should be (Monoblocks-1.9.11.jar unless you renamed it).
Monoblocks and Vehicular Movement: The greatest additions to a modern Minecraft city. Grab them here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2236322-goldensilver853s-mod-hub
You are now breathing manually.
A: I don't think forge is out for 1.8 yet and
B: your report says: Is Modded: Definitely; Client brand changed to 'fml, forge'
So basically, I'm stupid.

Curse PremiumIt is out (made it out of beta something like a week ago) for 1.8 but almost none of the mods are out due to the massive changes in 1.8. It is going to take a very long time for mods to update to 1.8 due to the changes.

So do you guys have endless problems with this game as I do? Seems the more mods you have the worse it runs, correct?
Get it here:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1287828-aroma1997s-mods-betterchests-mining-world-mod
It will backup your world periodically and silently in the background (this is once you get it up and running), and so if anything ever happens and world gets corrupted, you'll have backups to go to and you can troubleshoot a lot easier without the kid crying how his/her 2 months of work are gone.
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java
the thing crashes as soon as I load it.
And if you haven't done the troubleshooting to find the mob spawning mod that was crashing you before, java update isn't going to solve it. I recommended it to avoid future issues that you're sure to run into.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/modded-client-support/tutorials-and-faqs/525478-tut-ucs-launcher-multiple-modded-profiles-like
As for your mods, I can't really tell what's wrong without the crash report.
Read the instructions for "I have already installed forge" here:
http://www.flansmod.com/download
I just don't bother with mods. I just know about forge from my friend, and I think that would be correct, if you mean lag.
So basically, I'm stupid.
