I have two win 8.1 laptops that used to connect literately for years and now suddenly they cannot. Direct connect worked fora while and now even that no longer works. The only thing new on the laptops is the ATLAUNCHER. They are both running MC 8.1. We tried connecting using an earlier version 1.7.2 but that did not help either. My 7 year old is going through serieous MC with Dad withdrawal...HELP PLEASE

type in run in your search bar wherever that is in Windows 8. Then type cmd in the run box and that will open command prompt. Type ipconfig and then enter to get your information. Search for your wireless LAN adapter ipv4 address, remember that. Then open your world in direct connect and remember that ipv4 number. Then in your other Pc under direct connect type in your ipv4 number and then a colon, then type the number that should have popped up in the chat log. That should koin you into the other computers world. I hope that this helped if it was what you were looking for.
