I watch a lot of streams on Twitch and a lot of YouTube videos.When they record Minecraft in 60 FPS,it's really smooth and liquid-looking(if you know what I mean).It is also by spectating mode in 1.8 that it seems like that.
But for some reason,when I play Minecraft,I look at F3 Menu and it clearly states 60-120 FPS.But it doesn't look like it.It looks like only 30 FPS.It's not really essential to make it look like 60,but I just want to know why.
P.S.Yes,I have tried V-Sync.It is definitely not screen-tearing.

The older versions of minecraft only had one thread doing all the work, so the FPS rate was tied to how fast MC was updating everything.
The versions since the client/server split have one thread updating the world state and one thread rendering it.
You get the best MC performance on a machine with more than 2 cores as a result.
