So i created a survival world a long time ago and after playing I got bored and decided to add mods to that world, but the problem is that entities and ores from the mods wont load in my world. I've created a new world to see if they load there and they do, but they won't load in my previous world. I don't wan't to start a whole new world and start doing everything all over again. Help ?
Well 1. This is for vanilla issues only
and 2. (Your answer) Blocks from a mod that are not renewable resources will not spawn in a world created before the mod was added in
some mods have retroactive ore generation built in for adding a mod to a pre existing world, if they don't have this option then exploring new chunks is the main option
You can also possibly use MCEdit to "repopulate" chunks (note that this may place ores, trees, and stuff in areas you may not want them, such as ores in stone walls, so don't select chunks containing buildings; also, existing ores will be duplicated so you may not want to do this; I myself added the 1.8 stones and some other things in an existing world but used specially modified code (not easy to do unless you have the mod's source code and modding knowledge, plus many mods are Forge, making it harder to make the changes I did) so that only new features and nothing else already present were added).
As always, make a backup first before doing this, just in case something goes wrong.
That's a bit hard for me to compute (sorry I'm an idiot, i gotta admit it). Can you send me a download for MCEdit for minecraft 1.7.2 and possible send me a video link with a tutorial?

How do you know if they have that option with looking into the files?

ModeratorAs always, make a backup first before doing this, just in case something goes wrong.
TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
How do you know if they have that option with looking into the files?
