Help! My Minecraft world has been accidentally deleted! Can someone help?

I use a Mac and my Minecraft world has been deleted by accident (my business, don't bother asking), and if there is any way to get it back on Mac without any software installs, that'd be great!

If you didn't back up the world I don't believe there is any way to get it back. The game even says that once you delete it it's gone forever...

Haven't tried that yet. I'll try it and if I see the world file I will put it in the saves folder and hopefully it should be back in my game.
