My son tried to start Void Launcher today to play Crazy Craft, and when he did it seemed to reinstall itself instead of playing. Now his world is gone from the list of Single Player games. He is very upset since he worked hard on that world and had built so much on it. I've been trying to search my PC's program files (Win 8.1) for his game save data but can't even find the location for Void Launcher. I've Googled this also with no results. Is my son's world gone for good or is there a place I can access to get his world data and restore it to the list of playable worlds?
Also, is there an easy way to make backups of worlds in a designated location? He usually plays using Void Launcher and selecting Crazy Craft. Thanks for any help!!
Check the minecraft folder, if maybe upon reinstall it didn't create a separate profile and that's why you don't see your world. In minecraft folder, under saves, your world should still be there. If it isn't try the system restore. Also, newer versions of windows will have folder/file history backups the way mac does like so: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/file-history-windows-8
Thank you! I will look for it in that folder and also try to find the file history backup. And thanks for the link for AromaBackup. I haven't heard of that before and will try it out!
I also have this problem where I have worked hard on my world and it kept crashing, so I reinstalled it and it deleted my world, can you explain how I can get it back in simple steps please.

In the future, use AromaBackup:
