My Minecraft is acting very weird, every time I load a world the fps is about 100-200 but and then after a few minutes (or seconds) it goes down to 1-10 fps. My Minecraft gets so laggy (even the main menu) that I have to close and re-open Minecraft. But I still get the problem. I have optifine but it dosen't seem to do anything. I have my settings at minimum, but the problem still happens on all Minecraft versions I tried (1.5.2 ,1.6.4, 1.7.2, 1.7.10, 1.8, and 1.8.1).
That's NOT the default and will cause lag like you are reporting. Xmn is for the new generation, thus the N. The new generation is garbage collected frequently and intensively. Having 1G of new generation will cause long intrusive garbage collections.

I really thought it was 1G so i have to do xmn instead on xmx is that what your saying?
NO leave XMN alone. Increasing it will cause trouble.

Maybe there is a newer version of your video driver available. Post a dxdiag.
I have no idea about linux video driver maintenance....
