I click minecraft, then I click run, and then it shows the mouse loading icon for a few seconds, and then nothing happens. I tried running as admin, and the same thing happened. It was working last week, so idk what the problem is!!
Could you try launching Minecraft while you have the task manager open, and seeing when one (or both) of the javaw.exe's disappear from the list after launching?

Yes I have java. Its slightly out of date though (every time I try to update I get an error message).
What would happen if I re downloaded the launcher? Would all my worlds still be there? Do you think redownloading the launcher from minecraft.net would help the problem?
I'd suggest this:
Go into your .minecraft folder, and either copy your entire "saves" folder, or just the worlds you want from inside it. Copy those to the desktop, or somewhere you will know to find them.
Then, as long as there is nothing else you want to save in the folder (your servers.dat would be good to save, it is your server list), delete the .minecraft folder entirely.
Re-download the launcher, and run it, it'll re-generate the .minecraft. See if it starts up then, if it does, then problem solved. If not, then there's bigger problem here.

1. Do you have Java installed?
2. try moving your .minecraft folder to your desktop and run the launcher again, let it re-download the folder.
Good luck fixing this issue.
