It all started when I attempted to install Forge so my kids could get mods. I created the 1.8 profile for Forge then I was unable to install Forge. Weird. So I went to open Minecraft again and I had to log in again and the profile I created for Forge was gone. No matter, I can't create a Forge profile. I uninstalled Minecraft and reinstalled it, I still have to sign in EVERY TIME. I tried to make a new profile, and when I quit and restart Minecraft, I still need to sign in and the profile I created is no longer there.

Isn't there a box you can tick to say remember me or something?

Can someone please help? I have no idea what is going on here. I really could NOT care any less but my kids really want to play this. No it is NOT a CPU/ GPU issue as I am running other games on this PC and it is only Minecraft giving me problems. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no luck. The worrisome thing is, it does not seem to save anything in between times. I haven't actually played the game, but the profiles I create are not being saved.
