I installed the most recent realeses of CoFHCore, Thermal Expansion, and Thermal Foundation, but my Minecraft kinda crashed saying:
"Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your minecraft installation
The mods and versions listed below could not be found
ThermalFoundation : minimum version required is 1.7.10R1.0.0RC1
The file 'ForgeModLoader-client-0.log' contains more information"
The version of Forge I have is: 10.13.2.1230
CoFHCore: CoFHCore-[1.7.10]3.0.0B9-40.jar
Thermal Foundation: ThermalFoundation-[1.7.10]1.0.0RC1-13.jar
Thermal Expansion: ThermalExpansion-[1.7.10]4.0.0B8-23.jar
You likely have another mod that needs TF to function, but it is outdated, and now that you've updated TF, it is looking for the older version. Check your other mods, that are designed to work with TF and update them as well.
Also, see this part

It would be nice if you get that part, post it on pastebin and provide a link here.
It's not reading cofh core properly. Someone else is having a similar issue with another thread and one thing in common you have is 1.6 java on OSX, Do me a favor and go install java 8 64 bit (it should automatically be 64 bit for mac but just in case).
Then go to System Preferences->Java->wait for control panel to pop->Java->View and copy the path for 1.8 version of java.
Open MC launcher, hit Edit Profile, go down to java executable path, check the checkbox and delete the path that's there and paste in instead the file path to java 8. Hit save profile. Hit play.
