Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program Will Exit.
That's what happens whenever I try to play minecraft. It will open the launcher just fine (Launcher 1.6.11), but when I click the "Play" button it will load and give me this error in a dialogue box. When the dialogue box comes up, the launcher closes but as soon as I close the dialogue box the launcher will come back with this error in the Game Output: Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx=1536m

You changed your launcher settings? Try deleting launcher_profiles or something like that from .minecraft

OK, I've overcome the error in minecraft but it comes up when I try to download java as well...
Also, when I press the Play button on minecraft it will load, then the launcher will close (as usual), but then it will not open the minecraft 1.7.10 screen... Maybe because I don't have java (I think I accidentally deleted it while getting the JDK)? But the new launcher says it doesn't need java to be played...

The new launcher downloads java, proabbly you need to restart and try with 1.8.1 just in case

Yup. It works with 1.8.1 but not 1.7.10... I don't really like 1.8 because all my mods are 1.7... If you could help with why 1.7.10 doesn't work that would be great, but at least I can play minecraft.

The new launcher downloads java, proabbly you need to restart and try with 1.8.1 just in case
