Ok, so I just downloaded minecraft for pc, and was able to play it at first, but with a lot of lag. So then I tried to to download a texturepack (it was SphaxBDcraft) and from then on I couldn't launch it, even after deleting the texture pack, and redownloading the launcher. Every time I try to start it, I get the error message that it has ran out of memory, and an option to "Fix the Problem", which takes me to the minecraft website where it gives me instructions to install the latest version of Java (I did that) and to change the amount of RAM allocated to Minecraft, and I changed it to 2GB (my computer is 4096MB) and still, nothing. Please help.
UPDATE: I got a new error message when it crashed on launch;
