Keep in mind unless you reinstalled or made a new profile that had no modifications to it (no optifine or shaders or texture pack or mods), they're just going to dismiss it.
Ah right, good. It might have been reported before (a likely outcome) in which case in the comments, they'll just say duplicate of xxxx and x will be the link to the original report. Follow the discussion and figure out if there's a way around it.

And if that doesn't help, make sure your launcher isn't modified in any way (which if you reinstall per their instructions it shouldn't be), and if you still get the same error, submit as a bug here:

However, before you do all that, post the new launcher log here now after you've updated java, just to check the error hasn't changed at all.
