I am experiencing an issue where my launcher rejects every login. I login with correct credentials but I am stopped by the error "EOFException: SSL peer shut down incorrectly"



Circumstances leading up to problem:

I opened the launcher and selected my profile, the "Play" button wouldn't change from "Play Offline". (Should have checked logs sorry :/)

Like the time before, (last week) I logged out, but when I went back in I got the above error.

Minecraft has functioned properly before, and this specific issue has never occurred.



I run Windows 8.1, 8GB RAM, 64-bit Java (latest build), and all drivers are up to date.



Any help is appreciated, I am up for trying anything.

Restart your computer. If that doesn't work, reinstall Minecraft. (Remember to back up saves.)

Neither has worked. It tells me to make sure MC is not blocked, but when I open Windows Firewall, Control Panel freezes up.

Sounds more like a problem with your computer then.

Turned off my firewall to see if it works, I've fixed the Windows Firewall issue
