So whenever I play minecraft I get about 120fps but then drop to 5-20 when I turn or look around MODS: optifine, Armor Status Hud, Status Effect Hud
SPECS: 8GB RAM , Intel Core i7 processor
PLZ HELP!!!

Have you checked to make sure you're using the most recent Java version (java 7 update 75 is best for minecraft, not java 8 update 25)

If that doesn't work, try allocating more RAM. With 8GB, I'd suggest 3 at the most.



I'll admit I'm not an expert, but I'm having a similar fps problem right now. I'm as confused as you are. These are the things I did to try and fix my problem, but It didn't help. But it may help for you.

What do your video settings look like? What's your render distance at? If you reduce it to say...8 or 10 (normal or less), do you still have the same issue?

it doesnt have to do with that because i can run 32 render distance perfect but when i look up down left right then it starts to drop frames

That happend to me in 1.8.0 then it got fixed for me at 1.8.



also try setting minecrafts poiroty to high

again this doesnt have to do with the performance of the computer this is just it lagging .... that didnt help but thx

Well I'd troubleshoot, but since you're sure this has nothing to do with mods, and you get the same effect on vanilla, you're better off posting here:
