Has anyone else experienced the follow glitch? It just started happening to me a couple days ago. It only occurs at a distance so if I'm mining in a straight line i won't notice its glitched until a turn around. When I restart the game everything is fine until it will randomly glitch again.
I run the game in windowed mode and seems to happen more if i'm switch back and forth from chrome/firefox and minecraft.
My System is:
Win 7 (clean install as of 4 days ago)
MSI Z77A-GF65
i7-3770K @ 4.2GHz (I also tried playing at stock settings same issue)
Gigabye GTX 680 OC 2GB (Driver is 347.25) (also tried stock timings)
16GB Ram
OS and Minecraft are installed on a OCZ Vertex 4
>java -version
Java version "1.8.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_25-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.25-b02, mixed mode)
I should also note that my monitor is an ASUS PG278Q @ 144hz
Bring up the debug menu by pressing F3, identify the card that is rendering the game. This information is on the top right corner. If it is using the integrated Intel card, switch by closing the game, and right clicking the game, selecting run with graphics processor and then high performance nVidia processor.
Hi cestislife, Minecraft detects my video card correctly. Also my integrated video is disabled. I checked the MC logs when it happens and nothing gets reported, I'm starting to suspect a GPU issue.
The problem started before I wiped and reinstalled windows. I've ran memtest86 for about 8-9 hours and it came back fine. I ran spinrite on all my drives and no problems returned, I ran prime95 for about 4-5 hours no issues.
I have an MSI GTX 980 GAMER arriving today. Hopefully it resolves my issues.
The 980 is for my new build. Haven't ordered the rest of the components yet.
