So I just bought a realms server for me and my friends to play on. Me and my friend are having a strange issue where as soon as we are attacked by enemies the game seems to stop responding eg. mobs freeze in place cant collect items etc. Then 10s later get Connection Lost, Timed Out. Now this isn't a network issue as on the same network I loaded minecraft up on my surface pro 3 and it runs fine. Iv tried full reinstalls of minecraft and java, even a full system reinstall of windows. Iv narrowed it down to being a problem with connecting to 1.8.1 servers as I can play on 1.8 public servers no problem without dc's. Anyone get any ideas whats going on.



'To add a bit more detail to the disconnect issue, on my screen everything stops moving but to someone on the server eg. my brother I can still control my character and move around, but its as if the server stops sending information back to me or I cant receive it and then disconnects after a short period'

Ok iv isolated the issue and its quite strange, when my desktop is connected to my router via an Ethernet cable..... it DC's me either randomly or everytime I get hit by a monster... very unstable.... however if I change my connection to wifi..... everything works fine.... so the connection via Ethernet is causing the problem. This is tried and tested my friend has the exact same issue. Any people with ideas whats cause the Ethernet cable connection not to work ?

I am currently having this same problem, my minecraft will freeze up and shortly disconnect after trying to attack hostile mobs. It's only been since i updated to 1.8.3 that it is happening. It will sometimes let me play for a short while if i'm not out fighting, but eventually it comes back with the same problem. (Cannot verify if it's wired problem, i have no wifi for my PC.)
