If you don't start it from alias, but you use the default MC icon to start it, it'll always load java 6. Which is why we use alias.

i always use the allis and it still doesn't load java properly! what should i do

Then try this. When you open the MC launcher, hit Edit Profile on the profile of your choice, scroll down to JVM executable, check the checkbox and then paste in the file path to your desired java. To find the file path, go to system preferences-Java-wait till panel pops-Java-View-click on where it says Location and it should allow you to copy paste it.
Then after pasting, Save Profile, select for it again on bottom left and hit play.

i can't find it it just takes me to the java control panel

Wait for java control panel to pop. It takes 20-30 seconds. Then click on tab that says Java, and then button that says View.

i get this:
Error: Could not find or load main class http:..java.sun.com.products.autodl.j2se
this is what the location says: http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se

Sorry, not the location. Click on the box that says path. The one that shows a folder path on your computer.

this is the path and i put it in the jxm /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java

Take out jxm, I don't know what that is but yes, /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java
is correct. When you were on the java panel, under platform, did it say 1.6 or some other version? Obviously you want the file path from the 1.7 or 1.8 version of java. If you have multiple versions of java, which you should if you installed java 8 but mc is still using java 6, make sure you copy the right file path.

yeah i already thought of that so what i did was delete all versions of java on my computer then got java 8 so there was no confusion
the launcher is 1.6.11

Er....was there a 1.6.11 version of the launcher issued for a mac and I somehow missed it? I was under the impression that it was for windows only currently.
