Ive tried to play a single player survival world, and it almost seems to have server lag. If I make a large jump, it takes sometimes up to 10 seconds to register the fall damage. If I punch a tree, it might come back a few times before it finally breaks.
I am using 1.8 and Optifine. I do not experience this problem on survival servers, only in single player. I have tried restarting my minecraft, but that does nothing. It seems to be worse in certain worlds than others.
Well the game does run an internal server for single player, and when playing on a server, your computer isn't doing most of the world generation or processing, so it may be hardware related?
What are your specs?

Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.

Thanks for the help, but I restarted my computer for an update and everything seems to be working fine now XD
