Is anyone able to tell me why I cannot run Minecraft?

Java problem (Minecraft has to have Java to run).
I'd uninstall your Java, reinstall the latest version (from the real Java site), and then try running Minecraft again.

I did as you said and It did not work. :S

It looks like you're using a resource pack? It's 512x so it may be crashing the game. Try removing it and try again.

removing the game and redownload it?

try removing the resource pack is what he was getting at

Also if you didnt restarted after the java reinstall, do it now

Java seems to crash not because of the texture pack, try reinstalling it, or give it more memory

Allocating more memory to Java may help. How much do you already have allocated?

Very simple problem, your using JRE you need JDK. Go to Start>Control Panel>Programs and find and uninstall all instances of Java then download and install JDK 7 from here -- http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk7-downloads-1880260.html

JDK, as in Java Development Kit? You don't need that to run Minecraft. Besides, the new launcher comes with it's own version of Java.

O_O holy computer things! LOL Thanks for the help guys! I'll keep you updated. Gotta run to work now, will work on this more at 7pm.

Having JRE and not JDK causes a lot of problems for people i've seen, downloading JDK and using that as the Java path always seems to work better for java games, it's what i've always used and never had Java issues with Minecraft, as far as the launcher coming with it's own version of java, that's the new .msi launcher which from my understanding downloads and installs java, I haven't tried it yet as i've never had any problems with the old .exe launcher so I can't say much about that but I know that installing JDK and using that as the active Java tends to help a lot with Java games.

Out of memory problem. Try allocating more ram or closing other applications that are open at the same time.

C'mon guys, it's great to try and help, but you need more than one tool in your tool bag. Not everything is a nail, or a screw, or a whatever your pet solution fixes.

Oh, sorry. Guess I shoulda looked more into it before posting....

Awwww thanks! Now I know what I must do to play minecraft for PC. Till then Minecraft PE & 360 for now... >_<
