So I have been trying to get my Minecraft game look sexy, so I wanted to have this texture pack with this shader, which of course meant I needed this mod.
So I wasn't exactly sure what to do, unibluemedia- bless his talents- didn't explain how to install his pack with the Shader (unless I missed it or didn't search hard enough.) I must have miss understood (Or he didn't explain thoroughly) exactly what I had to do with the shader and the shader mod, what versions I had to download, since I couldn't use a version greater than 1.7.5. However the version that the texture mod was for was 1.7. (seen in IMG 1) What did that mean exactly? Was it 1.7.5 or 1.7? I'm new to this type of modding so I was confused. Never the less I tried using I believe was 1.7.2. In hindsight that wasn't a good idea, because the game refused to work. Then I read somewhere that the problem might have been with Java 8, so I had to uninstall that and get Java 7. So I uninstalled Java 8, completely, using Revo Uninstaller, and now after I re installed Minecraft and installed Java 7 and try to execute the ShaderMod .jar file, it won't start. I searched online to find some fixes, but it turned out that this is the path that has the executable that starts the jar. files I'm assuming. C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath. Which I should have deleted, but they're still there and when I click on them they say "C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath\java.exe The Specified patch does not exist. Check the path and then try again." even though I am looking at it as the message comes up. So now I seemed to have botched my computer, not able to execute any jar. files, which is keeping me from installing the shader mods. Can anybody help?
It seems that you have nearly corrupted your Java, messing with the JAVA_PATH is almost never a good idea unless your sure what your during. Try looking up how to fix Java pathways. If that doesn't work try uninstalling all java versions, deleting all of the Java pathways ALL OF THEM and completely reinstall Java.
