Greetings. I am running Minecraft 1.8.1 on a Windows 7 PC and my spawn point appears to have changed. This occurred after exiting the Nether via a new portal (not the same one I entered). My compass now points to a new spawn point (I confirmed this with the xyz coordinates). I have done this same thing (entering and exiting the Nether via different portals) a number of times, but never ran into this problem before. Any thoughts on why this happened and what I can do to get back to my home near the original spawn point? Thanks for any help.
My thought is maybe a glitch in the game. There's always gonna be some odd glitches every once in a while. The nether is a relatively glitchy aspect of the game, so just find your base again in creative and then go back to survival. Just open the world on LAN with cheats enabled.
Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I just had this issue too. When I exited the nether, after syncing a new portal, my world spawn point (i.e. where the compass pointed to) was set to 0,0 instead of my usual 230,160 or whatever. Restarting the game fixed it, but it made me wonder if this glitch affects spawn chunks too. Like, would an iron golem farm stop being spawn-chunk-loaded whenever I visit the nether...?

Hope this helped!
