I under took a project on my minecraft world which ended up being way too big and was taking forever to complete, so I installed the Toomanyitems mod to speed up the process. Now that the project is complete I want to go back to survival mode and I having a bit of trouble doing that.
I've tried changing the TMI.txt notepad from true to false. Didn't work.
I deleted all the TMI files and folders from my minecraft folder. Didn't work.
I copied my saved folders to the desktop, deleted and reinstalled minecraft (from the minecraft launcher). Didn't work.
Does anyone know what the next step is or am I missing some critical step the solves all my problems?
I'm playing on a Mac, with no other mods and fully updated game.
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated
How can you reinstall minecraft from the launcher? If you're reinstalling, you're tossing the whole minecraft folder (provided you backed up your world somewhere) and then redownloading minecraft from minecraft.net ?
Deleting the minecraft folder, the file from the applications folder and re-downloadng the launcher file from the minecraft website didn't work either.
No that's not how you uninstall minecraft from mac. Go to Finder->hold Option down and in the finder menu click on Go->LIbrary->Application Support->minecraft
Then delete that whole folder.
Sorry, that's the minecraft folder I'm talking about, I mustn't be explaining myself very well.
I copy my saved world out of that folder then delete the whole thing, after that I went to the application section and deleted the minecraft icon. Then re-downloaded Minecraft.dmg from the website, installed it and returned the original saved worlds into the new minecraft folder, played and I'm still in creative mode even though in the options section it says my difficulty is 'normal'.
