My internet provider is Xfinity (Comcast) and they have been know to throttle. A while ago I didn't have internet at all even though I should have had it because Comcast was throttling me. How much of mine craft can Comcast throttle? I cant access mine craft servers on versions before 1.8 and the launcher is really slow. Tell me if I'm right or being a idiot and blaming my problems on someone else and can fix them myself.

I will put in my say: Comcast does throttle Minecraft. I know this, as, on attempts to connect to a server with 1.8.4, a (once great) connection instantly turns sour and I time out quickly.
