Hello! Whenever I try to load Minecraft 1.8 or higher on my Mac, minecraft allows me to log in, and after it shows the Mojang logo it goes to a black screen and automatically makes the screen go full screen and I am unable to do anything except turn off the computer. I've been searching for a solution but have been unable to find one. If anyone knows the cause of this it would be a big help! Thanks!
Try opening up the mincraft folder and removing the options file, this will reset your fullscreen mode
To get at Minecraft's locally stored files on a Mac, in the Finder, from the Go menu, select 'Go to Folder', and type in: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft, and click Go
