Hello. I brought Minecraft PC for my son for his birthday and gave it to him on Friday. I've been trying to get it to load now for almost 48 hours. I have never seen an install for anything take this long. I have stopped the install, rebooted, deleted the .minecraft folder, etc., based on suggestions I have seen online, but it's just taking forever, and I don't know what to do. My internet connection is fast enough, I have a decent enough computer to install it, and I work in IT, so I know my way around computers. I am just on my last nerve. Does anyone have any suggestions to speed up this process? He's dying to play this game!

Yes, specs would be nice. Also, the launcher auto-generates a crash report whenever Minecraft fails to load or if it runs into an java exception error, so be sure to check the post the logs!

Also, what does the Launcher Log tab say on the launcher?
