Ever since the 1.8 update when i try to build or kill anything the game randomly freezes. Im running a stock Asus Q400A, 3rd gen I7 at 2.2ghz, 8gb ram, windows 8, Intel HD Graphics 4000. Its running at 55 degrees. Just updated to the newest java (did a complete uninstall, reinstall with Java) No mods, Completely uninstalled minecraft and reinstalled it. Am I missing something?
It's a huge problem with Java's in-built 'garbage' collector which is used to collect any unnecessary/unneeded code from the game/program identified by the programmer. In 1.8's case, it's usually collecting around 250 MB/s as compared to 1.7's 50-ish. So yah, it's very bad. It only happens to some people (unidentified toward what group of people it actually does occur to) and it can vary from bad to worse. I would recommend staying in 1.7.10 until Mojang has resolved this issue.
