for people having the same thing let me explain why it did not work and what format it should be in.
First of there are some things you should know about the DX,DY and DZ,
one it is to select a cubic area not a radius so it will be a large square not a sphere
Second thing you should know is you will need to specify an X,Y and Z cord before it.
Third, you X,Y and Z cord needs to be on the North West Corner of the area for it to work.
This is why it did not work for me was because the DX,DY and DZ can not be a negative number.
Last thing is if you are typing a cord instead of a distance number such as 10 away from your cords your selection may not work or not in the right place.
Things you should check to fix this problem:
[1] Make sure you did not type a cord for your DX,DY and DZ [2] Make sure your using a positive number such as 20 NOT -20 [3] Check that you have a X,Y and Z target cord before your DX,DY and DZ. [4] Check to see if your X,Y and Z target cord is on the North West Corner of the area you are trying to select.
This was problem was resolved
