So I recently got a new gaming pc, and wanted to try out shaders in minecraft since I remember always wishing I could use them. I followed the instructions in a video on how to set it up, but the shaders button was missing from my options menu. I successfully installed forge and all that, and have been trying to figure this out for quite some time, with no success. Also, I've completely re installed minecraft a few times and started the process over more than once, also with the same results. I can supply any more information you might need, and appreciate anyones help, thanks

there is a new forge vversion that you can just ut into your mods folder

are you saying I can put forge into my mods folder, or after installing it, put the mods in a mods folder? If its the latter then thats what i've been doing, and still nothing. If its the first one can I get a link perhaps?

here, for forge 1.7.10, put this into your mods folder http://www.minecraftprojects.net/mods/shaders-mod

It may not work with optifine installed though so just a warning

I put that file into my mods folder and it didn't do anything, still not getting the shaders option. :/

are you sure you are using the right forge? or even have your forge profile selected?

Apparently the problem was that I WAS using the forge profile, because when i tried my other profile, it started working. Thanks for the help!
