Either try Optifine, try the new launcher for Minecraft (it has java implemented with it) or simply upgrade your PC. For the connection, close any streaming or downloading while on the server, try a wired connection instead of wireless or upgrade your connection if possible.
Download the razer cortex, on my old comp it got me from 15 to 110 fps with the help of optifine and low render distance, here is a link: http://www.razerzone.com/cortex

FastCraft is a neat mod by the maker of IC2 which speeds up your game without changing how the game looks (totally forgot where to find it, sorry). I use it when I'm having lag issues (primarily with mods, ofc), and it seems to help.
However, I'm pretty sure it's currently out of date (1.7.10), so OptiFine would be the best thing to try. You can find OptiFine here on the forums.

I already downloaded Razer Game Booster.... but it lags SO MUCH MORE!!
i was wondering my Comp is kinda slow but can handle my games..
but how can i speed up Minecraft no lag at all..
and also how can i reduce lag at servers..

What optifine does it boosts up mine crafts FPS and has more options in the option menu (can't give away link due to copyright)
2.Buy a new PC/Mac (what ever you use)
Now you may think this is way to expensive but if you are really that desperate for good minecraft frames, buy i new computer
3. No way to recede lag on servers
From the 4 years I've played mc, I've never seen a program to make you have better connection for a server, can't be done
