Looks like there was so many people here to help you. I loved this game and just came back to it to play again for a while. Now my gaming computer runs it like someone took a torch to it. Thanks again just another gaming company that F***S their customers.
I upgraded my CPU and GPU, it increased the speed by about 5 Fps. With 8core 5ghz and Titan X.... Btw minecraft is on minimum settings. Can run max BF4 and COD:AW.

msi R7 265 + Afterburner 15 % + Radeon hd 7000
cpu usage during game 5%
gpu usage during game 4%
ram usage during game 6.4 Gb / 8Gb
game set to high priority and is only thing running.
it seems minecraft isnt using any of the avalible power and just likes to run at low fps. I have the fps cap set to 144. Vanilla install. 1.8.0.
Also it seems to be taking up an unreasonable amount of ram. I do have it set on the max graphics settings though.
I know about optifine but i cant use it because of the mods i want to put on it arnt compatable. any suggestions?
