I posted a thread, and the whole thing disappeared....
Trying to resolve this issue for my stepson.
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Memory: 8gb
Java: Version 8 Update 25
javaw.exe process seems to continually increase its memory usage, to insane levels. (3.4gb was one such instance).
Causes the game to become incredibly laggy (unplayable).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Other games (far more advanced than Minecraft) work perfectly fine. This is a recent occurrence.
I've also tried creating a .bat file to force Minecraft to run using 64bit Java, as well as defining the -xmx and -xms values. However this doesn't seem to resolve the underlying issue. (It does alter at which point the lag begins however).
