Using dispensers, head armor pieces place in chest slot, armor slots seem to randomly black out when no armor is in them. Placing/removing armor sometimes causes the slots to black out, or if blacked out, they become visible (if empty)
Minecraft version 1.7.10, Forge version 10.13.2.1230, Optifine version 1.7.10 HD B4. No other mods.
How do you use a dispenser to use armor from it to yourself?

Four dispensers, facing inward, any fashion, up/down/ a corner, doesn't matter. It just matters that they face inward with only a one block gap, two blocks high. Just enough room for the player to stand. Either a pressure plate or a button. Load armor into dispenser, press button, it should place armor on. Except mine places helmet in the chest slot, leggings in the boot slot, and the chest piece and boots are kicked into the inventory.
