Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM warning: You have loaded library /home/brodie/.minecraft/versions/1.8.1/1.8.1-natives-7251460222853/liblwjgl64.so which might have disabled stack guard. The VM will try to fix the stack guard now.
It's highly recommended that you fix the library with 'execstack -c <libfile>', or link it with '-z noexecstack'.

There is honestly many tutorials with them getting minecraft working on a chromebook.. With them fully downloading it and playing it. in that tutorial, and many comments saying " thank you it works "
All you have to do is add a linux desktop on the computer, which i did. And for the minecraft installing it onto the linux. that is what my problem is. Help me IF you can.
I'm not proficient on the Linux platform to give you specific instructions, but remove all traces of Java that you have installed. Either versions should work fine really, and make sure Java is in your environment PATH.
I removed everything with java and minecraft on the computer. Now to install it. and what do you mean with the environment PATH? how would i do that
I believe when he/she said Path, he/she meant the start up path.
"A Path represents a path that is hierarchical and composed of a sequence of directory and file name elements separated by a special separator or delimiter. A root component, that identifies a file system hierarchy, may also be present. The name element that is farthest from the root of the directory hierarchy is the name of a file or directory. The other name elements are directory names. A Path can represent a root, a root and a sequence of names, or simply one or more name elements."
A good example of this is when you start up something it follow a certain path to access that program,
When i start minecraft, Pressing "play" it closes the launcher, and like usaul the minecraft game is suppose to pop up, instead it pops up the launcher with the game output with that error ^

Again im on Ubuntu 14.04 and im wondering what platform i should use for Java, Orcle 8 or Java JDK7 ?
^ First step ^ :3
Sorry for my late responses, I'm currently working on my server while answering other questions.
From my knowledge, I'd say JDK is your best bet really, especially for 14.04.

This might be your best bet for a guide, I'm sorry if it isn't very helpful (again, I don't use your system)
