I get better FPS with shaders

I just thought this was funny, without Shaders, I get 15 - 20 fps, with Shaders I get 15 - 25 fps.

Anyone know why? O.o

The shaders might rewrite enough of the rendering engine that it becomes more easily accelerated by your hardware.

This is most likely the reason, my laptop ran Minecraft better on fancy than on fast, it is possible.
