So I bought Minecraft earlier today, and began to download it using the launcher.
Walls of text similar to this would continuously appear for over an hour.

The first time I attempted to download the game ended in the launcher giving up. So I deleted everything and started over. I am currently still in the process of downloading in the launcher and I am getting the same messages over and over again.
Finally I got this message.

Again I clicked Play and it is starting all over again.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal or if this is a technical error, and if so, a solution would be great.
Could you access those files normally in the browser? If you can, then something, most notably malicious software or overprotective antivirus is interfering with the download.
