I accidently deleted the stuff in the Game dir box in edit profile can someone please tell me what to type in the game dir box so I'll get my stuff back. Im playing on a Mac if it makes a difference.

Just uncheck it and it should run fine.

not it won't launch, the launcher log says "[17:58:55 ERROR]: Aborting launch; couldn't create game directory"

Then type in this in the game dir box,
~/Library/Application Support/minecraft
